Mulberry & Mango (2)

Two unique variations on the 700 year old tradition of mulberry papermaking in Thailand led to the creation of these very special electric lanterns. In the main photo (click photos to enlarge), the lantern paper shade is cratered to resemble the surface of the moon, while the lantern to the left has intricately woven fibers from raffia palm leaves that appear to swirl in the glowing light.
